Notas de Prova: Cor amarela e nariz surpreendentemente vegetal, onde as notas de espargos e alguma fruta cozida, formam um conjunto fresco e complexo, no decorrer da prova, também a fruta madura e delicadas notas minerais e tostadas, conferem uma agradável elegância ao conjunto, na boca é um vinho com estrutura, uma acidez correcta e um paladar rico em notas de fruta madura aliadas a breves sugestões de barrica e, mais uma vez, uma forte componente vegetal, o final de boca tem um comprimento médio/longo e uma relativa persistência.

Rótulo: The Rothschild name, famous for two centuries, first in banking then in wine, comes from the german phrase "Das Rote Schild". A reference to the red shield which originally served as the family sign, "Escudo Rojo" is the literal spanish translation. Chardonnay for Escudo Rojo, a fine chilean varietal wine, combines the richness of Chile's terroir with the technical mastery of Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A. The grapes, from strictly selected parcels in the Casablanca Valley, reputed for the quality of its Chardonnay, are harvested by hand and vinified parcel by parcel in our Bodega do producea unique, powerful and sensual wine. It is the matured in french oak casks for nine months, giving exceptional refinement and a complexity typical of the finest wines. Chardonnay for Escudo Rojo is remarkable for its intense aromas and flavours, fresh and powerful, striking a beautiful balance betweem fruit, blossom and toast. It can be drunk now but will keep for several years.
