Rótulo: Saint Clair Family Estate is owned by viticulture pioneers Neal and Judy Ibbotson, who planted in Marlborough in 1978. Saint Clair's trophy winning Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is produced from the very best of the vineyard blocks harvested. This vintage the fruit was harvested from a single vineyard on free-draining alluvial silt soils in the Dillons Point area of the lower Wairau Valley. This area, with its proximity to the ocean, has some of the coolest nights in the region promoting concentration due to extended hang time on the vine. The wine has intense tropical flavours of passionfruit and blackcurrant with an underlying mineral note. The palate is full and rich with a lingering finish. Superb with freshly shucked oysters or steamed mussels. Vegan friendly. Hamish Clark & Stewart Maclennan Winemakers. The Reserve wines are Saint Clair's finest, harvested at optimum ripeness and hand-crafted by the winemakers to produce wines of exceptional character. Hamish Clark & Stewart Maclennan Winemakers
