Notas de Prova: Cor rubi delicada e nariz sedutor, onde os aromas de fruta vermelha, nomeadamente morangos e cerejas, se confunde com as sugestivas notas de especiarias e baunilha, num fundo marcado pelas notas de groselha e barrica, na boca é um vinho envolvente e volumoso, com taninos finos, no paladar destaca-se a qualidade da barrica e a frescura da fruta, terminando com um final de boca prolongado e persistente.

Rótulo: As Head of the Family (the Maori translation of Matua), we have a tradition of telling stories as a way of passing on knowledge to the next generation. And here's the real deal, Central Otago is the world's most southern wine growing region, and a claim to fame as the backdrop to the Maori tale Matakauri & The Giant. A tale of bravery when the young warrior Matakauri boldly rescued his love from the clutches of a savage giant. Later, as the giant settled down for forty winks, Matakauri set fire to the ground. Smothered in the flames, the giant burnt so fiercely that he created a hole in the land more than 1,000 feet deep. Snow melted and filled the hollow which was later known as Lake Wakatipu. Not far from that lake, years later, we grew some grapes, the best parcels were then hand-picked from the most renowned subregions to craft this aromatic Pinot Noir. Packed with luscious red fruits, dark cherry and undertones of nutmeg, this wine is something special and dare we say it, legendary.
